In particular my 1/4 scale Piper Cub.
Engine. Saito 180
After removing the Glow plug and rotating the prop a few times I realised that the bearings sounded rather dry.
I added after run run oil (anti corrosive) into the plug opening and rotated the prop a couple of times.
I also sucked oil into the rear vent tube by rotating prop anticlockwise (otherwise it blows back).
This should lubricate the bearings.
Fuel Tank.
After removing the fuel tank I had a hell of a job removing the rubber bung.
The bung had deteriorated and found its own shape.
There was also evidence of serious corrosion of the internal vent and feed tubes
(Dead Stick scenarios).
I coudn't locally source replacement rubber bungs but found these maintenance kits.

Ive ordered two kits for £5.49 including postage.
If they do do the job I'll be well pleased.
Bottom Line.
If you have ic models that haven't flown for a while they may need a bit of TLC.
